Andreas S. Jacob completed his degree and legal traineeship in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, taking his final examinations in February 1996. This was followed by a master’s degree at the University of Houston, Texas, where he qualified as “Master of Laws” (LL.M.) in May 1997.Andreas S. Jacob was admitted to the Bar in 1996. Initially, he was engaged at a medium-sized legal, accounting and auditing firm in Hamburg and Berlin. From 1999 onwards, he worked with fellow colleagues at the Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte law firm, co-founding the partnership in January 2000.
Andreas S. Jacob focuses exclusively on practicing private construction law in accordance with the German Civil Code and the Verdingungsordnung für Bauleistungen (VOB) [German construction contract procedures]. His activities in this area are not solely restricted to litigation cases but also extend to independent proceedings for the taking of evidence, temporary restraining orders and the provision of legal advice to and representation of structural and civil engineering clients - most of which are highly reputable companies - during projects and other out-of-court matters. He also authors legal literature on the topic of construction law.
