VITA
Dr. Arndt Winkelmann studied law in Hamburg and Freiburg. He received his Master of Laws from the University of Minnesota Law School and his doctorate from Hamburg University.After his legal traineeship (Referendariat) in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, Dr. Arndt Winkelmann worked as legal counsel for a global leader in fire protection. Before joining Leinemann Partner in October 2019, he practiced law in a Berlin-based firm specializing in construction law and the FIDIC forms of contract.
Dr. Arndt Winkelmann advises on all aspects of construction, engineering and public procurement law in contentious and non-contentious matters. He advises domestic and international clients on all issues arising during the course of a construction project. He assists them with drafting and negotiating contracts as well as dispute resolution, including adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
Dr. Arndt Winkelmann has passed the VBI/FIDIC adjudicator assessment.
Dr. Arndt Winkelmann is a German native speaker and fluent in English. He is used to applying his knowledge of French in matters relating to francophone countries which he expanded during a five months stay in Grenoble and through his research on French bankruptcy law.
Dr. Arndt Winkelmann is a member of the Berlin Bar Association (Rechtsanwaltskammer) and the German-American Lawyers' Association (GALA).
