Clarissa Sophie Busato studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Freiburg im Breisgau. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant at the European policy think tank of a foundation for regulatory policy in Freiburg im Breisgau. After her first state examination, Clarissa Sophie Busato completed a Master's degree at the University of Sydney, specialising in international environmental and commercial law (Master of Laws, LL.M.).

During her legal clerkship, Clarissa Sophie Busato worked at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer and at a German commercial law firm in Brussels, where she gained practical experience in European antitrust and state aid law. As a research assistant in the legal unit of an international consulting firm in Düsseldorf, she specialised further in public procurement law.

Clarissa Sophie Busato joined the Cologne team of Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte in 2020. She specialises in public procurement law and, on the one hand, drafts and supports public procurement procedures. Clarissa Sophie Busato also represents the interests of contracting authorities or bidders in the context of public procurement review proceedings and actions for damages under public procurement law. She also advises on procedural law and private construction law.

Clarissa Sophie Busato regularly publishes specialist articles on public procurement law.

She is a member of the Cologne Bar Association.
