Jochen Lüders has been practicing law in Berlin since 1996. After studying in Münster and various stops abroad, he originally worked at a legal firm specialized in real estate law where he built up the company’s construction law practice group. In 2004, he moved on to join the Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte law firm where he has been a partner since 2009.From the outset, his activities focused on supporting major structural engineering projects, rail infrastructure initiatives and plant engineering projects (offshore wind farms, subway construction) on behalf of contracting parties and contractors, as well as on asserting claims from construction contracts before the courts, respectively on defending his clients against such claims. He also provided intensive support to his clients throughout various property transactions. Recently, Jochen Lüders has been more closely involved in procurement matters and in international construction projects.
Jochen Lüders is a specialist for construction and architecture law, public procurement law and visiting lecturer at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. He authors contributions for construction law journals and is also co-author of a range of book projects, such as the practical handbook on building with the German railroad company: “Bauen mit der Bahn”. The Handelsblatt has named him one of the best lawyers in Germany in the field of "construction law" in 2021.
Jochen Lüders lectures at conferences and construction law seminars, e.g. at the training institute of the Association of German Engineers (VDI Wissensforum [knowledge forum]), the DIN-Akademie [Academy of the German institute for standardization] etc. and at company training sessions.
Jochen Lüders is a member of the German Bar Association, the ARGE-Baurecht Working Group on Construction Law and the Deutscher Baugerichtstag e.V. [German Construction Law Society]. Furthermore, he is also a member of the Bar Association in Berlin.
