Marco Hohensee studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg and the Humboldt University in Berlin. He completed his legal clerkship at the Oberlandesgericht Brandenburg in May 2017.Since then, Marco Hohensee has focused his practice on public procurement law, advising both bidders and contracting authorities on complex tender procedures and representing them in review proceedings. He has many years of experience advising companies, investors, and particularly public sector clients on complex project developments, especially with regard to aspects of procurement law, grant law, state aid law, and public building planning and building regulations.
His clients include numerous public authorities, public-law institutions, and both private and public enterprises, whom he advises in particular on the structuring and implementation of complex procurement projects as well as on all matters relating to public law compliance. In addition, he handles litigation and advisory mandates in private construction law.
Marco Hohensee is recommended as a lawyer in public procurement law by Legal 500 Germany 2024.
He is a certified specialist lawyer for public procurement law (Fachanwalt für Vergaberecht). He is also a contributing author for the information service VergabeNews published by Bundesanzeiger Verlag, and co-author of the 7th edition (2021) of Die Vergabe öffentlicher Aufträge (Reguvis) as well as the 1st edition (2024) of the commentary on the VgV/UVgO published by C.H.Beck.
