Matthias Morguet

Matthias Morguet studied law at the Free University of Berlin. Whilst undertaking his legal traineeship in the Brandenburg Higher Regional Court district, he completed a one-semester postgraduate course at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. His career has also included positions at a law firm specialising in construction and architectural law, and at a law firm practising corporate and commercial law in Namibia.Matthias Morguet was subsequently employed as a doctoral candidate under Prof Dr Cosima Möller at the Department of Civil and Roman Law within the Faculty of Law at Freie Universität. He was awarded the Teaching Prize for the 2022/23 winter semester. This was followed by a position as a research assistant at a law firm in Potsdam specialising in public commercial law. In April 2026, he submitted his doctoral thesis on a fundamental topic in civil law to the faculty.
Matthias Morguet joined the team at Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte in Berlin in June 2026 and advises clients primarily on construction and property law.
