VITA

Peter Schwientek studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and then completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich.

He began his professional career at the central procurement office of a large Upper Bavarian authority. This was followed by positions as a lawyer at a law firm specializing in public procurement law and as a project manager and data protection officer at a contract consultancy center.

Peter Schwientek joined the Hamburg office of Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte in April 2022. His work and advice focuses on public procurement law. He also acts as a speaker for public procurement law seminars and in-house training courses.

In 2025, Peter Schwientek completed a part-time Master’s program, earning the title Master of Laws (LL.M.). With his thesis on “Optimizing the Awarding of Innovative IT Models – Procurement Strategies Using the Example of Open EVB-IT Types, Agile Software Development, and Open Source,” he demonstrated his particular expertise in the interconnected fields of information and public procurement law.

Peter Schwientek is a member of the Hanseatic Bar Association of Hamburg.
