Dr Tobias Köhler studied law in Cologne and at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne as part of the Franco-German double degree program. During his two years of study in France, he obtained the title of Maître en droit.Dr Tobias Köhler has been part of the Leinemann team in Cologne since 2021 and has been a qualified lawyer since 2022. His work focuses on issues of construction and architectural law, as well as public procurement law. He regularly publishes in relevant specialist media in these areas. In 2026 Dr Tobias Köhler completed a PhD focusing on § 650f BGB, which regulates construction craftsman’s security in Germany. In the Handelsblatt’s ‘Best Lawyers’ ranking in 2026 he is mentioned as a lawyer of the future – ‘one to watch’ – in private construction law.
Dr Tobias Köhler is a member of the Cologne Bar Association and the Cologne Lawyer Association. In addition, he is active in Arbeitsgruppe junger Baurechtler:innen within the ARGE Baurecht of the German Bar Association.
